Project Coordinator of Linux.org.ru, Maxim "maxcom" Valyansky, announced a change in the license of the forum engine's source code from a free license Apache License 2.0 to the LOLX license (Linux.org.ru Original License xD). The new license does not meet the criteria of the FSF, OSI, and Debian as a free license.
Activists of Linux.org.ru plan to create a fork soon under the license GNU AGPL 3.0, which will develop independently from the original project.
