De release wordt verwacht in de zomer van 2021. Momenteel zijn er 185 kritische bugs die de release blokkeren (maand geleden waren dat er 240, drie maanden geleden 472, op het moment van bevriezing in Debian 10 316, in Debian 9 275, in Debian 8 350, in Debian 7 650). De definitieve release van Debian 11 wordt verwacht in de zomer.        <\/p>\n<p>Belangrijke wijzigingen in de installer in vergelijking met de derde alfa-release:   <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Het pakket eatmydata is toegevoegd, waarmee de installatie van pakketten kan worden versneld door fsync uit te schakelen (dpkg roept vaak fsync aan tijdens de installatie, wat leidt tot vertragingen).\n<li class=\"l\"> In de grafische installer is overgeschakeld naar een build met libinput in plaats van de evdev-driver, wat de ondersteuning voor touchpads heeft verbeterd.
