Voor het gebruik van DXVK zijn stuurprogramma's nodig die de Vulkan API 1.1 ondersteunen, zoals Mesa RADV 20.2, NVIDIA 415.22, Intel ANV 19.0 en AMDVLK. DXVK kan worden gebruikt om 3D-applicaties en spellen op Linux uit te voeren met Wine, en fungeert als een hogere prestatiealternative voor de ingebouwde implementaties van Direct3D 9\/10\/11 die bovenop OpenGL draaien.        <\/p>\n<p>Belangrijkste wijzigingen:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Initi\u00eble ondersteuning voor YUV-textuurformaten met kleursubsampling is toegevoegd, zoals NV12, die gebruikt worden voor videoweergave in bepaalde spellen.\n<li class=\"l\"> De ID3D11VideoProcessor API is ge\u00efmplementeerd, die wordt gebruikt voor video-uitvoer in de spellen Nier Replicant en Contra: Rogue Corps.\n<li class=\"l\"> Ondersteuning voor conservatieve rasterisatie is toegevoegd voor GPU's die deze functie ondersteunen. Deze wijziging maakt het mogelijk om de NVIDIA ShadowLibs-optie in Final Fantasy XV en andere spellen te gebruiken.\n<li class=\"l\"> De vertragingen bij weergave zijn verminderd, wat problemen kan oplossen in spellen die worden beperkt door verticale synchronisatie, FPS-beperkers of DXGI-instellingen.\n<li class=\"l\"> Een component voor het beperken van de frame-intensiteit is toegevoegd, die kan worden gebruikt voor een goede werking van spellen die niet zijn ontworpen voor hoge FPS.\n<li class=\"l\"> De overdracht van informatie over software-implementaties van Vulkan aan applicaties, zoals Lavapipe, is stopgezet indien er een GPU met Vulkan-ondersteuning aanwezig is in het systeem, wat problemen oplost die zich voordoen bij het gebruik van Lavapipe door spellen in plaats van de juiste stuurprogramma's.
