Naast het systeem image-bestand (X86E921OE.ZIP) zijn er ook licentiesleutels voor de community-editie (x86community-20240401.zip) beschikbaar, geldig tot april volgend jaar. De release van OpenVMS 9.2 wordt gemarkeerd als de eerste volledige uitgave die beschikbaar is voor de x86-64-architectuur.     <\/p>\n<p>De poort voor de x86-architectuur is gebouwd op basis van dezelfde broncode van OpenVMS die wordt gebruikt in versies voor de Alpha- en Itanium-architecturen, met gebruik van voorwaardelijke compilatie om functionaliteiten te vervangen die aan specifieke hardware-architecturen zijn verbonden. UEFI en ACPI worden gebruikt voor het detecteren en initialiseren van hardware, en een RAM-schijf wordt gebruikt voor de opstart in plaats van de speciale opstartmechanisme van VMS, die specifiek voor hardware is. Een module van SWIS (Software Interrupt Services) in de OpenVMS-kernel emuleert de ontbrekende privilege-niveaus van VAX, Alpha en Itanium die niet in x86-64-systemen aanwezig zijn.      <\/p>\n<p>Het besturingssysteem OpenVMS is in ontwikkeling sinds 1977 en wordt toegepast in fouttolerante systemen die een hoge betrouwbaarheid vereisen. Voorheen was het alleen beschikbaar voor de VAX-, Alpha- en Intel Itanium-architecturen. Het systeembestandsbeeld kan worden gebruikt voor testen in <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/nl\/vps\/abuzoustojchivye-vps\/\"   title=\"virtuele machines\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"4276\">virtuele machines<\/a> VirtualBox, KVM en VMware.
