Coreutils bevat meer dan honderd hulpmiddelen, waaronder sort, cat, chmod, chown, chroot, cp, date, dd, echo, hostname, id, ln en ls. Het doel van het project is om een cross-platform alternatieve implementatie van Coreutils te cre\u00ebren, die ook kan functioneren op platforms zoals Windows, Redox en Fuchsia. In tegenstelling tot GNU Coreutils wordt de Rust-implementatie verspreid onder de permissieve MIT-licentie, in plaats van de copyleft GPL-licentie.         <\/p>\n<p>Belangrijkste wijzigingen:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> De compatibiliteit met de referentietestset van GNU Coreutils is verbeterd, waarbij 365 tests met succes zijn uitgevoerd (in de vorige versie 340), 186 (210) tests zijn mislukt, en 49 (50) tests zijn overgeslagen. more, mv, nice, paste, pwd, rm, shred, tail, touch, uniq, wc, whoami, yes.\n<li class=\"l\"> In rm en uniq zijn problemen opgelost die zich voordoen bij het gebruik van onjuiste UTF-8-tekens in
