De pakketten openssh en tmux zijn aangepast om hun tijdelijke bestanden in \/var\/tmp te behouden als uitzondering. In systemen die worden ge\u00fcpdatet naar Debian 13 \u201cTrixie\u201d zal het oude gedrag van \/var\/tmp behouden blijven.<\/p>\n<p>Terwijl de meeste andere distributies al lang zijn overgestapt op het gebruik van tmpfs in \/tmp, heeft Debian hier niet met spoed op gereageerd. Nu hebben Debian-ontwikkelaars (Michael Biebl en Luca Boccassi) een van dergelijke discussies uit 2020 hervat, waarbij een ontwikkelaar van Canonical (Eric Desrochers) klaagde over de inconsistentie van de toenmalige implementatie van \/var\/tmp in Debian ten opzichte van de manier waarop systemd werkt, hoewel de patch al in 2012 was gepubliceerd. Hierbij is besloten om het systeemgedrag met betrekking tot deze mappen in overeenstemming te brengen met de algemeen aanvaarde normen in systemd en de meeste andere distributies.<\/p>\n<p>Bron: <a
