Voor het gebruik van DXVK zijn stuurprogramma's vereist die Vulkan API 1.3 ondersteunen, zoals Mesa RADV 22.0, NVIDIA 510.47.03, Intel ANV 22.0 en AMDVLK. DXVK kan worden gebruikt om 3D-applicaties en spellen in Linux te draaien via Wine, als een meer prestatiegerichte alternatieve oplossing voor de ingebouwde Direct3D 9\/10\/11 implementaties in Wine, die bovenop OpenGL draaien.      <\/p>\n<p>Belangrijkste wijzigingen:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> De resultaten van het D8VK-project, dat de transformatie van Direct3D 8 naar de Vulkan API mogelijk maakt, zijn ge\u00efntegreerd. De ontwikkelaars hebben de ondersteuning getest voor meer dan 200 oudere spellen die zijn gebaseerd op Direct3D 8, waaronder GTA III, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Freelancer, Postal 2, Warcraft III, Another World 15, Need for Speed: High Stakes, Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit, Red Faction II, Max Payne 2, Unreal II: The Awakening, Silent Hill 3.\n<li class=\"l\"> In dxvk-native, een variant van DXVK die onafhankelijk van Wine kan werken, is de mogelijkheid toegevoegd om WSI-achtergronden (Window System Integration) voor verschillende venstersystemen te gebruiken.
