De distributie kenmerkt zich door verhoogde beveiligingseisen en is gebouwd met Stack Smashing Protection (SSP). OpenRC wordt gebruikt als init-systeem en de eigen pakketbeheerder apk zorgt voor pakketbeheer. Alpine wordt gebruikt voor de vorming van offici\u00eble Docker-containerafbeeldingen en is betrokken bij het PostmarketOS-project.
