Thunderbird 140 is gebouwd op de codebase van de ESR-uitgave van Firefox 140 en valt in de categorie versies met lange termijnondersteuning, waarvoor updates gedurende een jaar worden uitgebracht.       <\/p>\n<p>Belangrijkste veranderingen in Thunderbird 140:    <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> De implementatie van de donkere modus is verbeterd. Het Dark Reader-extensie is ge\u00efntegreerd in de berichtenpaneel om automatisch een donkere thema toe te passen op de inhoud van berichten met een lichte achtergrond.\n<li class=\"l\"> In de instellingen is een optie toegevoegd voor globaal beheer van de sortering en weergave in threadmodus van berichten in alle onderdelen van Thunderbird. Het is nu mogelijk om het aantal kolommen in de Cards View-modus aan te passen.\n<li class=\"l\">  In de notificatie van nieuwe e-mail zijn knoppen toegevoegd om berichten als gelezen te markeren, als spam te markeren, met een ster te markeren, archiveren of de e-mail te verwijderen. Voor bedrijven is er een beleid voor selectief beheer van notificaties ge\u00efmplementeerd.
