De release van het minimalistische Linux-distributie Tiny Core Linux 17.0 is gepubliceerd, dat kan draaien op systemen met 48 MB RAM. De grafische omgeving van de distributie is gebaseerd op de Tiny X-server, de FLTK-toolkit en de FLWM-vensterbeheerder. De distributie wordt volledig in het RAM geladen en draait vanuit het geheugen.
