DavMail \u2013 een vrije gateway die het mogelijk maakt om reguliere e-mailclients en agenda-applicaties te verbinden met <strong>Microsoft Exchange<\/strong> en <strong>Office 365<\/strong> via bekende protocollen <strong>POP, IMAP, SMTP, CalDAV, CardDAV en LDAP<\/strong>. Voor degenen die nog steeds proberen zonder Outlook te leven en tegelijkertijd met de Microsoft-infrastructuur te werken, is dit een belangrijk update.<\/p>\n<p>De ontwikkelaars hebben zich niet gericht op uiterlijke veranderingen, maar op het verbeteren van de compatibiliteit en het oplossen van bestaande problemen. De nadruk lag op correcties gerelateerd aan <strong>IMAP-compatibiliteit<\/strong> en ondersteuning voor <strong>authenticatie via Office 365 met device code flow<\/strong>, wat bijzonder relevant is door de voortdurende veranderingen in de inlogmechanismen van Microsoft. Ook heeft het project het gedrag van de standaard ingebouwde OIDC-client aangepast.<\/p>\n<p>Voor Linux-gebruikers is het opgevallen dat DavMail nu standaard gebruikmaakt van <strong>een XDG-compatibele locatie voor het configuratiebestand<\/strong>. Dit maakt de integratie met moderne desktop systemen netter en voorspelbaarder.
