Het belangrijkste idee is om software voor Linux te gebruiken zonder Linux. Het besturingssysteem is POSIX-compatibel en multiplatform (ARM, MIPS, x86, RISC-V, Microblaze, SPARC, PowerPC, E2K), heeft een equivalent van .\/configure; make; make install, en ondersteunt C++. Er is ondersteuning voor verschillende bestandssystemen: FAT, ext2\/3\/4, evenals netwerk-, grafische en andere systeemstacks. Populaire programmeertalen zoals Python, Lisp, TCL, Ruby, Lua, JS, en Scheme zijn beschikbaar.<\/p>\n<p>Het besturingssysteem is geschreven in de programmeertaal C, heeft een flexibele configureerbaarheid op het niveau van de bronteksten en heeft een equivalent van hardwarebeschrijving via device tree.
