De distributie is binair compatibel met Red Hat Enterprise Linux en kan gebruikt worden als vervanging voor RHEL 10.2 en CentOS 10 Stream. De ondersteuning voor de Rocky Linux 10-tak zal doorgaan tot 2035. Installatie-iso-images van Rocky Linux zijn voorbereid voor de architecturen x86-64-v3, aarch64, ppc64le (IBM POWER), s390x (IBM Z) en riscv64. Bovendien zijn er live-builds met GNOME- en KDE-bureaubladen gepubliceerd voor de architectuur x86_64.<\/p>\n<p>Net als bij de klassieke CentOS zijn de belangrijkste wijzigingen in de Rocky Linux-pakketten gericht op het verwijderen van de binding aan het merk Red Hat en het verwijderen van RHEL-specifieke pakketten, zoals redhat-*, insights-client en subscription-manager-migration*. Een overzicht van de wijzigingen in Rocky Linux 10.2 is te vinden in de aankondiging van RHEL 10.2. <\/p>\n<p>Onder de specifieke wijzigingen voor Rocky Linux is er offici\u00eble ondersteuning voor de RISC-V architectuur, ge\u00efmplementeerd voor de StarFive VisionFive 2 (VF2) en SiFive HiFive Premier P550 borden, evenals de uitvoering in de QEMU-emulator. Bovendien ontwikkelt het project verschillende eigen repositories met extra pakketten:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\">  beveiliging &#8212; onvoorziene publicaties van dringende updates voor pakketten die kritieke kwetsbaarheden verhelpen, waarvoor in RHEL nog geen correcties zijn opgesteld.\n<li class=\"l\"> plus &#8212; beschikbare pakketten 7zip 25.01, iftop 1.0, nmon 16q en Valkey 8.0.7 (een fork van Redis).\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> NFV &#8212; pakketten voor de virtualisatie van netwerkelementen, in ontwikkeling.<br \/>\ndoor de SIG-groep NFV (Network Functions Virtualization).\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> CRB (Code Ready Builder) &#8212; extra pakketten voor ontwikkelaars.\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> RT &#8212; pakketten voor real-time operaties.\n<\/li>\n<li
