Deze nieuwe functie stelt gebruikers in staat om advertenties en trackingcode te blokkeren voordat deze worden geladen. In tegenstelling tot de adblocker in de desktopversie van Firefox, die de adblock-rust-component gebruikt, maakt de iOS-versie gebruik van de Content Blocker-technologie die door de Apple WebKit-engine wordt geleverd. Om de adblocker in te schakelen, is de instelling \"Instellingen &gt; Browsen &gt; Adblocker\" toegevoegd, die standaard is uitgeschakeld.    <\/p>\n<p>De adblocker maakt gebruik van de EasyList als filterlijst, maar past een zachte filtering toe \u2013 alleen externe advertenties worden geblokkeerd. Ingebouwde advertenties die direct door de website worden weergegeven en advertenties in zoekresultaten vallen niet onder de blokkering.
