In de sessie op basis van Wayland is het nu toegestaan om te schalen tussen 100% en 200% met stapgroottes van 25%. Voor het inschakelen van fractionele schaalvergroting in de omgeving op basis van X.Org moet <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/community.ubuntu.com\/t\/x11-hidpi-scaling-available-for-testing-on-disco\/10293\">ingeschakeld worden<\/a><\/noindex> de x11-randr-fractional-scaling-modus via gsettings. Standaard blijft de grafische omgeving nog steeds op de grafische stack van X.Org. Waarschijnlijk zal in de volgende LTS-release van Ubuntu 20.04 X.Org ook standaard blijven;\n<p><center><noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/assets.ubuntu.com\/v1\/0a98afcd-screenshot_desktop.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Uitgave van de distributie Ubuntu 19.04\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/c0dca7fe70b409bc26ab42ef5ec20c5b.png\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><\/a><\/noindex><\/center><\/p>\n<li class=\"l\"> <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/discourse.ubuntu.com\/t\/gnome-3-32-performance-ubuntu-19-04\/10208\">Er is gewerkt<\/a><\/noindex> aan performance-optimalisatie en verbeterde responsiviteit van het bureau, inclusief een soepelere animatie van pictogrammen (FPS is met 22% verhoogd), ondersteuning voor schermen met hoge verversingssnelheid (meer dan 60,00 Hz) is toegevoegd, de soepelheid van schaalbewerkingen is vergroot, en blokkering van invoer\/uitvoer is uitgesloten, waardoor een vloeiende grafische uitvoer wordt gegarandeerd;\n<li class=\"l\"> Er is een nieuw paneel toegevoegd voor het aanpassen van geluidsinstellingen, waarin een verticale lay-out wordt toegepast en een intu\u00eftieverere indeling van apparaten in groepen is gerealiseerd. De wizard voor de initi\u00eble instelling van GNOME is gewijzigd, meer opties zijn naar het startscherm verplaatst, en het inschakelen van services die locatie-informatie gebruiken (bijvoorbeeld voor automatische tijdzonekeuze) is vereenvoudigd;\n<li class=\"l\"> Standaard is de Tracker-service ingeschakeld, die automatische bestandindexering uitvoert en de laatste toegang tot bestanden bijhoudt;\n<li class=\"l\"> De standaard rechtsklik-handler is verhuisd naar de &#171;Area&#187; modus, waarbij een rechterklik gesimuleerd kan worden door te tikken op de rechter benedenhoek van het touchpad, naast de eerder ondersteunde rechterklik via gelijktijdig aanraken van het touchpad met twee vingers;\n<li class=\"l\"> De standaard Alt-Tab handler is verplaatst naar de &#171;Windows&#187; modus (inschakelen tussen vensters, in plaats van tussen programma's), en voor het schakelen tussen applicaties moet de combinatie Super-Tab worden gebruikt;\n<li class=\"l\"> De volgorde van vensterelementen in de paneel is nu gefixeerd en komt overeen met de volgorde waarin deze vensters zijn geopend;\n<li class=\"l\"> In de Network Manager is de backend op basis van de Wi-Fi-daemon geactiveerd.  <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/git.kernel.org\/pub\/scm\/network\/wireless\/iwd.git\/\">IWD<\/a><\/noindex>, ontwikkeld door Intel als alternatief voor wpa_supplicant;\n<li class=\"l\"> Bij installatie in een VMware-omgeving wordt automatisch het open-vm-toolspakket ge\u00efnstalleerd om de integratie met dit virtualisatiesysteem te verbeteren;\n<li class=\"l\"> Het Yaru-thema is bijgewerkt, nieuwe pictogrammen zijn toegevoegd;\n<li class=\"l\"> Een nieuwe &#171;Safe Graphics&#187; modus is toegevoegd aan het GRUB opstartmenu, waarbij het systeem opstart met de &#171;NOMODESET&#187; optie, wat het mogelijk maakt om, bij problemen met videokaartondersteuning, op te starten en proprietaire drivers te installeren;\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> De Linux-kernel is bijgewerkt naar versie <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=50201\">5.0<\/a><\/noindex> met ondersteuning voor AMD Radeon RX Vega en Intel Cannonlake GPU's, Raspberry Pi 3B\/3B+, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, uitbreiding van de ondersteuning voor USB 3.2 en Type-C, en significante verbeteringen in het energieverbruik;\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> De toolchain is bijgewerkt naar GCC 8.3 (optioneel GCC 9), Glibc 2.29, OpenJDK 11, boost 1.67, rustc 1.31, python 3.7.2 (standaard), ruby 2.5.5, php 7.2.15, perl 5.28.1, golang 1.10.4, openssl 1.1.1b, gnutls 3.6.5 (met ondersteuning voor TLS 1.3). De tools voor cross-compilatie zijn uitgebreid. De toolchain voor POWER en AArch64 heeft ondersteuning voor cross-compilatie voor<br \/>\n ARM, S390X en RISCV64;<\/p>\n<li class=\"l\"> De QEMU-emulator is bijgewerkt naar versie <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=49768\">3.1<\/a><\/noindex>, en libvirt naar versie 5.0. De component <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/cgit.freedesktop.org\/~airlied\/virglrenderer\/\">virglrenderer<\/a><\/noindex>, maakt het mogelijk om virtio-gpu (virtuele GPU Virgil3D) te gebruiken voor 3D-versnelling in virtuele omgevingen op basis van QEMU en KVM zonder exclusieve doorgifte van de grafische kaart aan het gasten systeem. 3D-rendering wordt uitgevoerd binnen de gasten systemen met gebruik van de GPU van het host-systeem, maar de virtuele GPU werkt onafhankelijk van de fysieke GPU van het host-systeem;\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> De gebruikersapplicaties zijn bijgewerkt: LibreOffice 6.2.2,<br \/>\nkdenlive 8.12.3, GIMP 2.10.8, Krita 4.1.7, VLC 3.0.6, Blender v2.79beta, Ardour 5.12.0, Scribus 1.4.8, Darktable 2.6.0, Pitivi v0.999, Inkscape 0.92.4, Falkon 3.0.1, Thunderbird 60.6.1, Firefox 66. Een paneel is aan de repository toegevoegd <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=48968\">latte-dock 0.8.7<\/a><\/noindex>;<\/p>\n<li class=\"l\"> De serverbuild heeft ondersteuning voor Bluetooth toegevoegd voor Raspberry Pi 3B-, 3B- en 3A-platen pi-bluetooth (te activeren door het pakket pi-bluetooth te installeren);\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> In Xubuntu en Lubuntu wordt de voorbereiding van 32-bit builds stopgezet (in eerdere versies zijn de 32-bit builds al niet meer ondersteund door Ubuntu Server, Ubuntu Desktop, Ubuntu MATE, Ubuntu Studio, Ubuntu Kylin en Ubuntu Budgie). Voor de download zijn nu alleen builds voor de x86_64-architectuur beschikbaar. De ondersteuning voor repositories met pakketten voor de i386-architectuur blijft behouden;\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> In <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/wiki.ubuntu.com\/DiscoDingo\/ReleaseNotes\/Kubuntu\">Kubuntu<\/a><\/noindex> een bureaublad aangeboden <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=50138\">KDE Plasma 5.15<\/a><\/noindex> en een set applicaties <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=49777\">KDE Applications 18.12.3<\/a><\/noindex>. Om de overgang van andere besturingssystemen te vergemakkelijken, wordt standaard nu een dubbele muisklik gebruikt om bestanden en mappen te openen (de eerste klik maakt het pictogram actief, de tweede opent het bestand). Het oude gedrag (openen met \u00e9\u00e9n klik) kan in de instellingen worden hersteld;<br \/>\nHet kio-gdrive pakket is toegevoegd voor toegang tot Google Drive vanuit applicaties met KIO-ondersteuning (Dolphin, Kate, Gwenview, enz.). <\/p>\n<p>De installer heeft een minimale installatie-modus gekregen, waarbij PIM-applicaties (e-mailclient, planner) niet worden ge\u00efnstalleerd;<br \/>\nLibreOffice, Cantata, mpd en enkele multimedia- en netwerkapplicaties (enkel de pure Plasma Desktop, Firefox, VLC en enkele utilities blijven over). Het testen van de sessie op basis van Wayland gaat door (na het installeren van het plasma-workspace-wayland pakket verschijnt de optionele &#171;Plasma (Wayland)&#187; optie op het inlogscherm);<\/p>\n<p><center><noindex><a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/wiki.ubuntu.com\/DiscoDingo\/ReleaseNotes\/Kubuntu?action=AttachFile&#038;do=get&#038;target=KubuntuDisco.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Uitgave van de distributie Ubuntu 19.04\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/aaf8d913615f4833f541a23d0b326ee9.png\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><\/a><\/noindex><\/center><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> In <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/ubuntubudgie.org\/blog\/2019\/03\/27\/19-04-release-notes\">Ubuntu Budgie<\/a><\/noindex> de desktop is bijgewerkt naar versie Budgie 10.5 (<noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=50346\">nieuws overzicht<\/a><\/noindex>). Standaard is de &#171;Noto Sans&#187; lettertype set geconfigureerd en er is een nieuw QogirBudgie thema toegevoegd. In Budgie Welcome is een sectie toegevoegd voor snelle installatie van snap-pakketten met de browsers GNOME Web, Midori, Vivaldi, Firefox, Chrome en Chromium. Standaard is een interface toegevoegd voor het zoeken naar bestanden met Catfish. In plaats van de bestandsmanager Nautilus is zijn fork Nemo gebruikt. Voor het plaatsen van pictogrammen op het bureaublad is een component gebruikt <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/spheras\/desktopfolder\">DesktopFolder<\/a><\/noindex> van het Elementary OS-project gebruikt. De Plank-paneel is naar de onderzijde van het scherm verplaatst. De klok-applet (ShowTime) is volledig herontworpen, de Take-A-Break-applet is toegevoegd voor het plannen van pauzes tijdens het werk, en er zijn ook applets voor CPU-frequentiebeheer en energiemodi toegevoegd;\n<p><center><noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/ubuntubudgie.org\/storage\/Blog\/1904releasenotes\/desktop.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Uitgave van de distributie Ubuntu 19.04\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/24458a11d9a6ca9e0f1bd942b7e38b9b.png\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><\/a><\/noindex><\/center><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> In <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/ubuntu-mate.org\/blog\/ubuntu-mate-disco-final-release\/\">Ubuntu MATE<\/a><\/noindex>  de vorige versie van de MATE desktop 1.20 is doorgezet, waarin enkele verbeteringen en correcties uit <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=50350\">MATE 1.22<\/a><\/noindex>. Het besluit om bij versie 1.20 te blijven is genomen ter uniformiteit van de pakketten met Debian 10 en vanwege mogelijke stabiliteitsproblemen met externe applicaties als gevolg van het grote aantal interne veranderingen in MATE 1.22. De MATE Dock Applet is bijgewerkt naar versie 0.88 met verbeterde interface-styling onder Unity 7. Patches met ondersteuning voor <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/ArcticaProject\/librda\">RDA<\/a><\/noindex> (Remote Desktop Awareness) zijn toegevoegd voor een betere functionaliteit van MATE binnen sessies voor externe toegang tot de desktop.
