De grafische omgeving is gebaseerd op de window manager <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/openbox.org\">Openbox<\/a><\/noindex>. Voor het mounten van opslagmedia wordt gebruikgemaakt van <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.freshports.org\/sysutils\/dsbmc\">DSBMD<\/a><\/noindex> (ondersteuning voor het koppelen van CD9660, FAT, HFS+, NTFS, Ext2\/3\/4), voor het configureren van een draadloos netwerk \u2014 <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/freshports.org\/net-mgmt\/wifimgr\">wifimgr<\/a><\/noindex>, en voor het regelen van het volume \u2014 <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/freshports.org\/audio\/dsbmixer\">DSBMixer<\/a><\/noindex>. De grootte van <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/nomadbsd.org\/download\/nomadbsd-1.2.img.lzma\">het opstartimage<\/a><\/noindex> is 2 GB (x86_64, i386). <\/p>\n<p>In deze nieuwe uitgave is de codebase van FreeBSD 12 overgenomen, is ondersteuning voor TRIM standaard ingeschakeld, is er een kleurenthema toegevoegd voor de opmaak van de virtuele terminal, en is dynamische creatie van stuurprogramma-instellingen voor Intel GPU's mogelijk gemaakt. De implementatie van het beheermenu <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.freshports.org\/x11\/dmenu\">dmenu<\/a><\/noindex>, dat wordt opgeroepen met Ctrl+Space. Er is een nieuwe grafische interface gepresenteerd voor het instellen van systeemparameters, gebouwd met behulp van Qt (voorheen werd een console configurator aangeboden).<\/p>\n<p><center><noindex><a
