Oorspronkelijk werden twee versiesystemen aangeboden voor de ontwikkeling van Apache-projecten: het gecentraliseerde versiebeheersysteem Subversion en het gedecentraliseerde systeem Git. <\/p>\n<p>Sinds 2014 zijn er op GitHub <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=39069\">spiegels van Apache-repositories<\/a><\/noindex> gelanceerd die in alleen-lezen modus beschikbaar zijn. De repositories op GitHub zijn nu geclassificeerd als primair en kunnen worden gebruikt voor het aanbrengen en herzien van wijzigingen. De eigen git-diensten van Apache zijn omgevormd tot operationele back-upspiegels.<\/p>\n<p>Onder het bewind van de Apache Foundation zijn meer dan 350 projecten actief, met een totale actieve codebasis van meer dan 200 miljoen regels, en het totale cumulatieve archief van wijzigingen in 20 jaar bevat meer dan een miljard regels code, met meer dan drie miljoen commits.
