De update <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/devices.ubuntu-touch.io\/\">gevormd<\/a><\/noindex> voor smartphones zoals OnePlus One, Fairphone 2, Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 2013, Meizu MX4\/PRO 5, Bq Aquaris E5\/E4.5\/M10. Het project omvat ook <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/unity8.io\/\">een vrij alternatief voor XenServer wordt ontwikkeld, waarin functies zijn teruggebracht die uit de gratis versie van XenServer zijn verwijderd.<\/a><\/noindex> een experimentele desktopport <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/ubports\/unity8\">Unity 8<\/a><\/noindex>, beschikbaar in <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/ubports\/unity8-desktop-install-tools\">versies<\/a><\/noindex> voor Ubuntu 16.04 en 18.04. <\/p>\n<p>De release is samengesteld op basis van Ubuntu 16.04 (de OTA-3 build was gebaseerd op Ubuntu 15.04, en vanaf OTA-4 hebben we de overstap gemaakt naar Ubuntu 16.04). Net als in de vorige release lag de nadruk bij de voorbereiding van OTA-9 op het verbeteren van stabiliteit en het verhelpen van fouten. De overgang naar Mir 1.1 en de laatste versie van de Unity 8-shell zijn opnieuw uitgesteld. De test van de build met Mir 1.1, qtcontacts-sqlite (van Sailfish) en de nieuwe Unity 8 vindt plaats in een aparte experimentele tak.<noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/forums.ubports.com\/topic\/2436\/living-on-the-edge-how-to-install-ubuntu-touch-from-the-edge-channel\">edge<\/a><\/noindex>&#171;. De overstap naar de nieuwe Unity 8 zal leiden tot het be\u00ebindigen van de ondersteuning voor slimme gebieden (Scope) en de integratie van de nieuwe applicatielanceerinterface, App Launcher. In de toekomst wordt ook een volledige ondersteuning voor een omgeving voor het uitvoeren van Android-apps verwacht, gebaseerd op de bevindingen van het project <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/anbox.io\/\">Anbox<\/a><\/noindex>.<\/p>\n<p>Belangrijkste wijzigingen: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> De pictogrammen die verschillende inhoud in mappen identificeren zijn bijgewerkt;<br \/>\n<center><noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/nc.ubports.com\/s\/dXw8Wts69CM3zKd\/preview?a.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"De negende firmware-update van UBports, die de opvolger is van Ubuntu Touch \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/75b59be8170cc4618aeece16af4b3c6a.png\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><\/a><\/noindex><\/center><\/p>\n<li class=\"l\"> Problemen met de camera op Nexus 5-apparaten zijn opgelost (de zoeker bevroor na een foto en er waren storingen bij het opnemen van video);\n<li class=\"l\"> Het QQC2 Suru-stijl pakket is verbeterd, waarbij een set stijlen op basis van Qt Quick Controls 2 is voorbereid, die voldoen aan de eisen voor de interface van Ubuntu Touch. Met QQC2 Suru Style kunnen bestaande Qt-applicaties die QML gebruiken gemakkelijk worden aangepast voor Ubuntu Touch, en kan de stijl automatisch worden gewijzigd op basis van het platform. In de nieuwe versie is rekening gehouden met systeeminstellingen voor schaalvergroting, is de detectie van het gebruik van donkere thema's verbeterd, en is er een nieuwe voortgangsindicator ('Busy')
