Het project biedt een communicatieserver die kan worden ge\u00efntegreerd met publicatiesystemen en is voorzien van een transparant identificatiesysteem en toegangbeheermiddelen in gedecentraliseerde netwerken van het Fediverse. De code van het project is geschreven in PHP en Javascript en <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/framagit.org\/hubzilla\/core\">wordt verspreid<\/a><\/noindex> valt onder de MIT-licentie.<\/p>\n<p>Hubzilla ondersteunt een enkel authenticatiesysteem voor het functioneren als een sociaal netwerk, forums, discussiegroepen, wiki's, systemen voor het publiceren van artikelen en websites. Er is ook een gegevensopslag gerealiseerd met ondersteuning voor WebDAV en eventbeheer met CalDAV-ondersteuning. <\/p>\n<p>Federatief interactie gebeurt op basis van een eigen protocol <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/framagit.org\/zot\/zap\/blob\/dev\/spec\/Zot6\/Home.md\">ZotVI<\/a><\/noindex>, dat het WebMTA-concept implementeert voor de overdracht van content via het WWW in gedecentraliseerde netwerken en een reeks unieke functies biedt, waaronder transparante end-to-end authenticatie 'Nomadic Identity' binnen het Zot-netwerk, evenals de functie voor het klonen om volledig identieke toegangspunten en sets van gebruikersgegevens op verschillende knooppunten van het netwerk te waarborgen. Uitwisseling met andere Fediverse-netwerken wordt ondersteund met behulp van de protocollen ActivityPub, Diaspora, DFRN en OStatus.<\/p>\n<p>De meest significante <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/framagit.org\/hubzilla\/core\/blob\/master\/CHANGELOG\">wijzigingen<\/a><\/noindex> in de nieuwe versie omvatten:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> De nieuwe applicatie 'Kalender', die voorheen onafhankelijke functies voor evenementenondersteuning en CalDAV Hubzilla heeft samengevoegd.\n<li class=\"l\"> De functie 'Reageer op commentaar', die het vertakken van reacties in discussies implementeert terwijl de traditionele platte weergave van Hubzilla behouden blijft.\n<li class=\"l\"> De mogelijkheid om de opslag voor de gegenereerde miniatuurafbeeldingen te kiezen tussen een database en opslag op schijf.
