Vanaf Firefox 69, die gepland staat voor 3 september, zal de optie voor permanente activering van de Adobe Flash Player-plugin uit de instellingen worden verwijderd, en blijven alleen de mogelijkheden om Flash uit te schakelen en handmatig in te schakelen voor specifieke websites (activering met een expliciete klik) over zonder de gekozen modus te onthouden. In de ESR-vertakkingen van Firefox blijft de ondersteuning voor Flash behouden tot eind 2020.  <\/p>\n<p>Een soortgelijke beslissing om de ondersteuning voor Flash te be\u00ebindigen werd eerder <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=50627\">aangenomen<\/a><\/noindex> genomen door Google en zal worden doorgevoerd in Chrome 76. De gefaseerde be\u00ebindiging van de ondersteuning voor Flash gebeurt in overeenstemming met eerder <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=46916\">aangekondigde<\/a><\/noindex> plannen van Adobe om de technologie Flash in 2020 te be\u00ebindigen. Flash blijft de laatste NPAPI-plugin, waarvan de ondersteuning in Firefox na <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=45294\">betreft de<\/a><\/noindex> de veroudering van de NPAPI-API is behouden.
