Het is opgemerkt dat de ondersteuning voor i386 bibliotheken zal worden voortgezet, maar bevroren zal worden op de staat van Ubuntu 18.04. <\/p>\n<p>Hierdoor kunnen gebruikers van Ubuntu 19.10 de benodigde bibliotheken installeren om 32-bits applicaties en games te draaien, ten minste tot het einde van de ondersteuning voor de release van Ubuntu 18.04, waarvoor updates tot april 2023 zullen worden geleverd (met betaalde ondersteuning tot 2028). De bibliotheken kunnen rechtstreeks uit de repository van Ubuntu 18.04 worden ge\u00efnstalleerd, waarin, als onderdeel van het werk aan de update van de grafische stapel in de LTS-tak, enige tijd releases van Mesa uit actuele versies van Ubuntu zullen worden overgebracht, wat gedeeltelijk het probleem met mogelijke incompatibiliteit van 32-bits grafische bibliotheken met de nieuwe systeemomgeving en stuurprogramma's zal oplossen. <\/p>\n<p>Laten we niet vergeten dat vertegenwoordigers van Canonical aanvankelijk <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/discourse.ubuntu.com\/t\/i386-architecture-will-be-dropped-starting-with-eoan-ubuntu-19-10\/11263\/2\">noemden<\/a><\/noindex> slechts de mogelijkheid om 32-bits applicaties in Ubuntu 19.10+ te draaien met behulp van containers met de omgeving van Ubuntu 18.04 of snap-pakketten in runtime core18, en dat zij aankondigden de ondersteuning voor direct gebruik van 32-bits bibliotheken te be\u00ebindigen, beginnend met Ubuntu 19.10.
