De taken die door de distributie worden uitgevoerd, zijn vergelijkbaar met het propri\u00ebtaire product Norton Ghost. De grootte <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/sourceforge.net\/projects\/clonezilla\/files\/clonezilla_live_stable\/2.6.2-15\/\">van het iso-image<\/a><\/noindex> distributie \u2014 272 MB (i686, amd64).<\/p>\n<p>De distributie is gebaseerd op Debian GNU\/Linux en gebruikt code van projecten zoals DRBL, Partition Image, ntfsclone, partclone, udpcast. Opstarten is mogelijk vanaf CD\/DVD, USB-flash en via het netwerk (PXE). LVM2 en bestandssystemen ext2, ext3, ext4, reiserfs, xfs, jfs, FAT, NTFS, HFS+ (macOS), UFS, minix en VMFS (VMWare ESX) worden ondersteund. Er is een massakloningsmodus over het netwerk, inclusief multicast-verkeer, waarmee het klonen van een originele schijf naar een groot aantal clientmachines gelijktijdig kan plaatsvinden. Zowel klonen van de ene schijf naar de andere als het maken van back-ups door een schijfimaged bestand op te slaan, zijn mogelijk. Voor het uitschakelen van de uitvoering van ocs-update-initrd is de optie \u00ab-iui\u00bb beschikbaar;\n<li class=\"l\"> De vermeldingen in het opstartmenu zijn gesorteerd. In de eerste niveau menu-elementen is er een optie toegevoegd om de lettergrootte voor HiDPI-monitors te vergroten, die ook toegankelijk is via de sneltoets \u00abl\u00bb. Aan het opstartmenu zijn extra secties voor uEFI toegevoegd \u2014 configuratie van de uEFI-firmware en weergave van informatie over de versie van Clonezilla Live;\n<li class=\"l\"> Het mechanisme voor het zoeken naar een lokaal besturingssysteem op de eerste harde schijf in systemen met uEFI is bijgewerkt en de naam van het gevonden besturingssysteem wordt weergegeven in het opstartmenu;\n<li
