De module is geschikt voor het bieden van bescherming tegen al bekende exploits voor de Linux-kernel (bijvoorbeeld in situaties waarin het probleematisch is om de kernel bij te werken) en voor het tegengaan van exploits voor nog onbekende kwetsbaarheden. Informatie over de bijzonderheden van LKRG is te vinden in <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=47989\">de eerste aankondiging van het project<\/a><\/noindex>. <\/p>\n<p>Onder de wijzigingen in de nieuwe versie:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> De code is gerefactoreerd om ondersteuning voor verschillende CPU-architecturen te waarborgen. Beginondersteuning voor de ARM64-architectuur is toegevoegd;\n<li class=\"l\"> Compatibiliteit met Linux-kernels 5.1 en 5.2 is verzekerd, evenals met kernels die zijn samengesteld zonder de opties CONFIG_DYNAMIC_DEBUG, CONFIG_ACPI en CONFIG_STACKTRACE tijdens de kernelcompilatie, en met kernels die zijn samengesteld met de optie CONFIG_STATIC_USERMODEHELPER. Experimentele ondersteuning voor kernels uit het grsecurity-project is toegevoegd;<br \/>\nDe logica van de initialisatie is aanzienlijk gewijzigd;<\/p>\n<li class=\"l\"> In de integriteitscontrole-subsysteem is zelf-hashing opnieuw ingeschakeld en is een raceconditie in de jump-label engine (*_JUMP_LABEL) verholpen, wat leidde tot deadlocks tijdens de initialisatie gelijktijdig met gebeurtenissen van het laden of ontladen van andere modules;\n<li class=\"l\"> In de code voor het detecteren van exploittoepassingen zijn nieuwe sysctl lkrg.smep_panic (standaard ingeschakeld) en lkrg.umh_lock (standaard uitgeschakeld) toegevoegd, extra controles zijn toegevoegd voor de SMEP\/WP-bit, de logica voor het volgen van nieuwe taken in het systeem is gewijzigd, de interne logica voor synchronisatie met taakkenmerken is herzien, en ondersteuning voor OverlayFS is toegevoegd, Ubuntu Apport is op de witte lijst geplaatst.\n<li class=\"l\"> Drie laureaten van de
