Voor onbeperkte downloads, maar na gratis registratie, <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/edelivery.oracle.com\/linux\">wordt verspreid<\/a><\/noindex> is de installatie-iso-image beschikbaar, met een grootte van 4,7 GB, voorbereid voor architecturen x86_64 en ARM64 (aarch64). Ook voor Oracle Linux <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/edelivery.oracle.com\/linux\">is er onbeperkt en gratis toegang geopend tot de yum-repository met binaire pakketupdates met bugfixes (errata) en beveiligingsproblemen.<\/a><\/noindex> Naast het pakket met de kernel uit RHEL (3.10.0-1160), wordt in Oracle Linux<\/p>\n<p>Naast het kernelpakket uit RHEL (3.10.0-1062) wordt Oracle Linux geleverd met <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=48813\">Git-repository<\/a><\/noindex> in de zomer de Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel 5 (4.14.35-1902.3.2), die standaard wordt aangeboden. De broncodes van de kernel, inclusief de splitsing in afzonderlijke patches, zijn publiek beschikbaar <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/oss.oracle.com\/git\/?p=linux-uek.git;a=summary\">features.<\/a><\/noindex> mogelijkheden.  <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=38229\">uitgebreide<\/a><\/noindex> <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=43644\">mogelijkheden<\/a><\/noindex>, zoals de integratie van DTrace en verbeterde ondersteuning voor Btrfs. Naast de kernel is Oracle Linux 7.7 functioneel gelijk aan RHEL 7.7.<\/p>\n<p>Onder <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.oracle.com\/cd\/E52668_01\/F20376\/html\/\">nieuwe<\/a><\/noindex> mogelijkheden van Oracle Linux 7.7 (bijna alle genoemde wijzigingen zijn ook van toepassing op <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=51233\">RHEL 7.7<\/a><\/noindex>):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> In NetworkManager is de mogelijkheid toegevoegd om routingregels op basis van het bronadres (policy routing) in te stellen en VLAN-filtering op netwerkbridge-interfaces te ondersteunen;\n<li class=\"l\"> De versies van de pakketten NSS (Network Security Services), scap-security-guide 0.1.43, shadow-utils 4.6, gcc-libraries 8.3.1, linuxptp 2.0, tuned 2.11, chrony 3.4 zijn bijgewerkt. Python 3-pakketten met de Python 3.6-interpreter zijn toegevoegd;\n<li class=\"l\"> Voor containers en afbeeldingen in het UBI-formaat (Universal Base Image) is ondersteuning toegevoegd voor het scannen van inhoud op naleving van veiligheidsprofielen van de SCAP Security Guide;\n<li class=\"l\"> In de kernel van RHEL is de ondersteuning voor Btrfs als verouderd verklaard (voor gebruik van Btrfs moeten de UEK R4 en UEK R5-kernels worden gebruikt). Pakketten met MySQL zijn verwijderd en moeten uit een aparte yum-repository worden gedownload;\n<li class=\"l\"> In de grafische installer zijn definities toegevoegd voor het inschakelen van de Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT) modus in het systeem en de bijbehorende waarschuwing;\n<li class=\"l\"> De driver voor NVMe\/FC QLogic qla2xxxx is bijgewerkt;\n<li class=\"l\"> Voor testen in de UEK R5-kernel zijn experimentele mogelijkheden aangeboden:\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> import en export van containers in Systemd,\n<li class=\"l\"> lay-outs voor het maken van opslag als blokapparaten en objectopslag voor pNFS,\n<li class=\"l\"> ondersteuning voor DAX (directe toegang tot de FS zonder gebruik van de pagina-cache zonder gebruik van blokapparatenniveau) in ext4 en XFS,\n<li class=\"l\"> ondersteuning voor OverlayFS,\n<li class=\"l\"> HMM-systeem (Heterogeneous memory management) voor gebruik van apparaten met eigen geheugencellen,\n<li class=\"l\"> No-IOMMU-modus,\n<li class=\"l\">
