In Linux From Scratch worden instructies gegeven voor het vanaf nul opbouwen van een basis Linux-systeem, met alleen de bronbestanden van de benodigde software. Beyond Linux From Scratch breidt de LFS-instructies uit met informatie over het samenstellen en configureren van ongeveer 1000 softwarepakketten, die verschillende toepassingsgebieden bestrijken, van databasesystemen en servers tot grafische omgevingen en mediaplayers.<\/p>\n<p>In Linux From Scratch 9.0 <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/linuxfromscratch.org\/lfs\/view\/9.0\/chapter01\/whatsnew.html\">ge\u00efmplementeerd<\/a><\/noindex> Overstap naar Glibc 2.30 en GCC 9.2.0. 33 pakketten zijn ge\u00fcpdatet, waaronder de Linux-kernel 5.2.<br \/>\n    Coreutils 8.31, Eudev 3.2.8, GRUB 2.04, IPRoute2 5.2.0, Meso 0.51.1, Openssl 1.1.1c, Perl 5.30.0, Python 3.7.4, Shadow 4.7, SysVinit 2.95, Util-Linux 2.34 en Vim 8.1.184.
