Vanaf dat moment kon elke klant van de registrar slechts 1024 adressen verkrijgen, wat de uitputting van de voorraad enigszins vertraagde. Maar in 2015 had RIPE nog 16 miljoen beschikbare IP-adressen, en in de zomer van 2019 was dit aantal gedaald<\/a><\/noindex> over de lancering van openbare hosting voor Open Source-projecten (<noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/foss.heptapod.net\/\">foss.heptapod.net<\/a><\/noindex>), die Mercurial gebruiken. De Heptapod-code is, net als GitLab, <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/mirror.octobus.net\/heptapod\/\">wordt verspreid<\/a><\/noindex> onder de MIT-licentie en kan worden gebruikt voor het opzetten van soortgelijke code-hostings op eigen servers.<\/p>\n<p>De gelanceerde service staat gratis hosting toe voor alle vrije en open projecten die licenties gebruiken die door de OSI zijn goedgekeurd. Er is echter \u00e9\u00e9n voorwaarde: het is vereist om de logo's van de sponsors Heptapod (Clever Cloud en Octobus) op de offici\u00eble webpagina van het project te plaatsen (bijvoorbeeld op de pagina met instructies voor ontwikkelaars). Na registratie moet een verzoek worden ingediend voor het aanmaken van een repository in de sectie <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/foss.heptapod.net\/heptapod\/foss.heptapod.net\/issues\/new\">issues<\/a><\/noindex>. Vanwege de <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=51323\">stopzetting van de ondersteuning<\/a><\/noindex> van Mercurial door de Bitbucket-hosting, zullen aanvragen van projecten die op Bitbucket zijn geplaatst voorrang krijgen. <\/p>\n<p>Laat ons herinneren dat vanaf 1 februari 2020 het niet meer mogelijk zal zijn om nieuwe Mercurial-repositories op Bitbucket aan te maken, en op 1 juni 2020 zal alle functionaliteit die met Mercurial verband houdt worden uitgeschakeld, inclusief het verwijderen van specifieke Mercurial API's en zullen alle Mercurial-repositories worden verwijderd.
