Momenteel wordt alleen de verwerking van commando's in het Engels ondersteund. Voor activatie dient de gebruiker op het indicatorlicht in de adresbalk te klikken en een spraakcommando te geven (de microfoon is standaard uitgeschakeld).<\/p>\n<p>Wat het voorgestelde aanvullingen van typische spraakgestuurde systemen onderscheidt, is dat het zich niet richt op het vervangen van muis en toetsenbord tijdens interactie met de interface, maar zich positioneert als een hulpmiddel voor het verwerken van vragen in natuurlijke taal, dat fungeert als een spraakassistent. Bijvoorbeeld, de gebruiker kan commando's geven zoals 'wat is het weer nu?', 'vind het tabblad met Gmail', 'zet het geluid uit', 'sla op als PDF', 'vergroten' of 'open de site van Mozilla'.<\/p>\n<p>Na de installatie van de uitbreiding wordt de gebruiker gevraagd om toestemming te geven voor het verzamelen en analyseren van spraakpatronen, met de overdracht ervan naar de servers van Mozilla om de nauwkeurigheid van de service te verbeteren (gegevens worden anoniem verzameld en niet aan derden doorgegeven). De verzending van telemetrie met spraakgegevens is optioneel en kan worden geweigerd. <\/p>\n<p>Volgens <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.soeren-hentzschel.at\/firefox-voice\/firefox-voice-beta\/\">gegevens<\/a><\/noindex> In de uitgave soeren-hentzschel.at worden commando's verwerkt met behulp van de spraakherkenningsdienst van Google (Google Cloud Speech Service), maar in de code van de uitbreiding <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/mozilla\/firefox-voice\/blob\/cb63bfc2e7d666249368b3a7aef94ade62d7846c\/extension\/buildSettings.js.ejs\">zijn gedefinieerd<\/a><\/noindex> de servers van Mozilla (instellingen kunnen worden overschreven tijdens de samenstelling).
