Ge\u00efntroduceerd<\/a><\/noindex> release van de distributie Manjaro Linux 19.0<\/a><\/noindex>, gebaseerd op Arch Linux en gericht op beginnende gebruikers. De distributie is opmerkelijk<\/a><\/noindex> heeft een vereenvoudigd en gebruiksvriendelijk installatieproces, ondersteunt automatische hardwaredetectie en installeert alle benodigde stuurprogramma's. Manjaro wordt geleverd<\/a><\/noindex> als live-builds met grafische omgevingen KDE (2,8 GB), GNOME (2,5 GB) en Xfce (2,6 GB). Met deelname van de gemeenschap aanvullend gebouwen ontwikkeld<\/a><\/noindex> zijn er builds met Budgie, Cinnamon, Deepin, LXDE, LXQt, MATE en i3.<\/p>\n

Voor het beheren van repositories in Manjaro wordt een eigen tool BoxIt gebruikt, ontworpen naar het voorbeeld van Git. De repository wordt ondersteund volgens het principe van continue updates (rolling), maar nieuwe versies ondergaan een extra stabilisatiefase. Naast de eigen repository is er ondersteuning voor het gebruik van de AUR-repository<\/a><\/noindex> (Arch User Repository). De distributie is voorzien van een grafische installer en een grafische interface voor het configureren van het systeem. <\/p>\n

De nieuwe versie wordt geleverd met Linux-kernel 5.4, ge\u00fcpdatete versies van Xfce 4.14 (met het nieuwe Matcha-thema), GNOME 3.34, KDE Plasma 5.17, KDE Apps 19.12.2. In GNOME is er een schakelaar voor desktopthema's met de thema's Manjaro, Vanilla GNOME, Mate\/GNOME2, Windows, macOS en Unity\/Ubuntu. De pakketbeheerder Pamac is bijgewerkt naar versie 9.3. Ondersteuning voor zelfstandige pakketten in snap- en flatpak-formaten is standaard ingeschakeld en kan worden ge\u00efnstalleerd via de nieuwe applicatiebeheerdersinterface.
