De release van Debian 11 wordt verwacht in het midden van 2021. <\/p>\n<p>Op 12 januari 2021 begint de eerste fase van het bevriezen van het pakketarchief, waarin het uitvoeren van 'transitions' (pakketupdates die aanpassing van afhankelijkheden vereisen bij andere pakketten, wat leidt tot tijdelijke verwijdering van pakketten uit Testing) zal worden stopgezet, evenals het bijwerken van pakketten die nodig zijn voor de bouw (<noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/packages.debian.org\/search?keywords=build-essential\">build-essential<\/a><\/noindex>).<\/p>\n<p>Op 12 februari 2021 vindt er een zachte bevriezing van de pakkettenbasis plaats, waarbij de acceptatie van nieuwe bronpakketten wordt stopgezet en het opnieuw opnemen van eerder verwijderde pakketten wordt afgesloten.<\/p>\n<p>Op 12 maart 2021 wordt er een strikte bevriezing toegepast voor de release, waarbij het proces van het overzetten van essenti\u00eble pakketten en pakketten zonder autopkgtests van unstable naar testing volledig wordt stopgezet en de fase van intensief testen en oplossen van blokkades voor de release begint. De fase van strikte bevriezing wordt voor het eerst ingevoerd en wordt beschouwd als een noodzakelijke tussenfase v\u00f3\u00f3r de volledige bevriezing die alle pakketten omvat.
