Universele gigabit en multi-gigabit\u00bb<\/a><\/noindex> bespraken we de switches uit de X465-serie, die ook zijn gepositioneerd als access switches voor het premium segment. In dit artikel willen we u kennismaken met de nieuwe lijn access switches voor het economische segment \u2014 ExtremeSwitching X435. De nieuwe serie switches is een update van de Summit X430-lijn en een alternatief voor ExtremeSwitching 210, dat draait op FastPath OS. De X435, net als alle oudere modellen, draait op het ExtremeXOS besturingssysteem.<\/p>\n

\nExtremeSwitching X435 zijn niet-stackbare Layer 2-switches met ondersteuning voor statische routering. De reeks omvat 5 modellen: drie 8-poorts en twee 24-poorts Gigabit Ethernet-modellen met SFP-uplinks tot 4\u00d71,5 Gbps. Alle modellen, behalve het 24-poorts model met PoE-ondersteuning, zijn 'fanless', wat zorgt voor stille werking en de mogelijkheid om ze te installeren in geluidsgevoelige omgevingen zoals kantoren, hotels, onderwijsinstellingen, winkels, winkelcentra, enz. <\/p>\n

\nDe PoE-modellen van ExtremeSwitching X435 ondersteunen de modi \u00abFast\u00bb en \u00abPerpetual-PoE\u00bb<\/a><\/noindex>, en kunnen tot 30W per poort leveren volgens de standaard IEEE 802.3at (PoE+). Dit maakt het mogelijk om een breed scala aan verschillende apparaten van stroom te voorzien, van draadloze toegangspunten WiFi5 \/ WiFi6 AP, PoS-terminals, moderne LED-verlichting, tot IP-camera's met Pan-Tilt-Zoom of low-power IoT-apparaten. De technologie EEE (Energy Efficient Ethernet) wordt op alle accesspoorten ondersteund.<\/p>\n

\nBovendien wordt PoE gebruikt voor het van stroom voorzien van het model X435-8P-2T-W, dat geen ingebouwde voeding heeft. Tegelijkertijd kan de X435-8P-2T-W (afhankelijk van het beschikbare budget) Pass-Through (doorgangs) PoE tot 100W bieden. Over het algemeen kan dit aanzienlijk helpen bij het verlagen van zowel operationele als kapitaaluitgaven door de installatie te vereenvoudigen en te versnellen, evenals het elimineren van de noodzaak voor extra stroomleidingen. <\/p>\n
