De omgeving is gebaseerd op de open code-editor Visual Studio Code (VSCode), die in de browser draait. Naast het schrijven van code biedt het mogelijkheden zoals bouwen, testen, debuggen, implementeren van applicaties, automatisch installeren van dependencies en configureren van SSH-sleutels. De omgeving bevindt zich momenteel in een fase van beperkte b\u00e8tatest met toegang na het indienen van een aanvraag.<br \/>\n<center><noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/81103788-68bb5e00-8ec6-11ea-8fc5-c8818dd718e2.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"De ontwikkelomgeving en discussie-systeem zijn toegevoegd aan GitHub\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/a0bb6993d59d4ff88586e6881c6e0284.jpg\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><\/a><\/noindex><\/center><\/p>\n<li class=\"l\"> <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/githubevents\/satellite2020\/discussions\">Discussions<\/a><\/noindex> \u2014 een discussie systeem dat het mogelijk maakt om verschillende gerelateerde onderwerpen in een dialoogvorm te bespreken, vergelijkbaar met Issues, maar in een afzonderlijk gedeelte met een hi\u00ebrarchische controle van antwoorden.\n<li class=\"l\"> <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/features\/security\/advanced-security\/signup\">Code scanning<\/a><\/noindex> \u2014 controleert elke operatie \u2018git push\u2019 op potenti\u00eble kwetsbaarheden. Het resultaat wordt direct bij de pull-verzoek bijgevoegd. De controle wordt uitgevoerd met behulp van de engine  <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/securitylab.github.com\/tools\/codeql\">CodeQL<\/a><\/noindex>, die patronen analyseert aan de hand van voorbeelden van kwetsbare code.\n<li class=\"l\"> <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/features\/security\/advanced-security\/signup\">Secret scanning<\/a><\/noindex> \u2014 is nu ook beschikbaar voor private repositories. De service evalueert lekken van vertrouwelijke gegevens zoals authenticatietokens en toegangssleutels. Tijdens de commit controleert de scanner op gangbare formaten van sleutels en tokens die door 20 cloudproviders en diensten worden gebruikt, waaronder AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, npm, Stripe en
