De update <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/devices.ubuntu-touch.io\/\">gevormd<\/a><\/noindex> smartphones OnePlus One, Fairphone 2, Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 2013, Meizu MX4\/PRO 5, Bq Aquaris E5\/E4.5\/M10.  <\/p>\n<p>De release is gebaseerd op Ubuntu 16.04 (de OTA-3 build was gebaseerd op Ubuntu 15.04, en met OTA-4 is de overstap gemaakt naar Ubuntu 16.04). Het project is ook <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/unity8.io\/\">een vrij alternatief voor XenServer wordt ontwikkeld, waarin functies zijn teruggebracht die uit de gratis versie van XenServer zijn verwijderd.<\/a><\/noindex> een experimentele desktopport <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/ubports\/unity8\">Unity 8<\/a><\/noindex>, dat onlangs is <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=52451\">hernoemd<\/a><\/noindex> naar Lomiri. <\/p>\n<p>De nieuwe versie van UBports is opmerkelijk vanwege de overstap naar nieuwe releases <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=50761\">Mir 1.2<\/a><\/noindex> en shell <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/unity8.io\/\">Unity 8.20<\/a><\/noindex>. Verwacht wordt dat er in de toekomst volledige ondersteuning zal komen voor een omgeving voor het draaien van Android-applicaties, gebaseerd op de ontdekkingen van het project <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/anbox.io\/\">Anbox<\/a><\/noindex>. UBports omvat de definitieve wijzigingen die door Canonical zijn voorbereid voor Unity8. De ondersteuning voor slimme gebieden (Scope) is be\u00ebindigd en het traditionele startscherm is vervangen door een nieuwe app-launcher interface.<\/p>\n<p><center><noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/ubports.com\/web\/image\/7729\/screenshot20200511_121141733.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"De twaalfde firmware-update van Ubuntu Touch \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/790b4feef9dd4f6db3c35680823e2c55.png\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><\/a><\/noindex><\/center><\/p>\n<p>De displayserver Mir is bijgewerkt van versie 0.24, die sinds 2015 wordt geleverd, naar release 1.2, wat ondersteuning voor clients op basis van het Wayland-protocol mogelijk maakt. Ondersteuning voor Wayland is nog niet beschikbaar voor apparaten op het Android-platform vanwege de onvoltooidheid van de implementatie, maar de ontwikkeling van builds voor de PinePhone en Raspberry Pi is al overgezet naar Wayland. De uitstraling van sommige bedienings-elementen is veranderd om de structuur van knoppen beter te accentueren door de schaduw naar beneden te verschuiven.<br \/>\n<center><noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/ubports.com\/web\/image\/7738\/gallery-pickers.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"De twaalfde firmware-update van Ubuntu Touch \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/95814bf5a45fbd793a8fd84ec26e0e14.png\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><\/a><\/noindex><\/center><\/p>\n<li class=\"l\"> De virtuele toetsenbord is verbeterd. De mogelijkheid om het toetsenbord te wisselen in de bewerkingsmodus is toegevoegd via een veegbeweging van onderaf. Dubbel tikken op een lege ruimte in de bewerkingsmodus schakelt de selectiemodi en cursorweergave om. De knop Voltooid biedt nu de mogelijkheid om uit elke modus te komen. Problemen met het invoeren van hoofdletters na een dubbele punt zijn opgelost.\n<li class=\"l\"> In de Morph-browser wordt in de incognitomodus bij het afsluiten alleen de data van de huidige sessie verwijderd, niet alle bestaande sessies. Een optie voor het beheren van het verwijderen van cookies is toegevoegd aan de instellingen.<br \/>\nIn de container-gebaseerde applicaties<br \/>\nDe webapp heeft nu de mogelijkheid om bestanden te uploaden. De verwerking van de dropdown-elementen van de interface is verbeterd en wordt nu uitgevoerd in de vorm van gestileerde vensters met aanraakknoppen. Ondersteuning voor automatische aanpassing van de paginabreedte aan de schermgrootte is toegevoegd. In de volgende release wordt een update van de QtWebEngine naar versie 5.14 verwacht.<\/p>\n<li class=\"l\"> Op apparaten met gekleurde LED's is kleurindicatie voor de acculading toegevoegd. Bij een lage lading begint de indicator oranje te knipperen, tijdens het opladen brandt deze wit, en bij een volle lading wordt deze groen.\n<li class=\"l\"> Op FairPhone 2-apparaten is automatische schakeling van de SIM-kaart naar 4G-modus mogelijk zonder handmatig een andere sleuf naar 2G-modus te hoeven schakelen.\n<li class=\"l\"> Voor Nexus 5, OnePlus One en FairPhone 2 is er een stuurprogramma aan de standaard kernel toegevoegd die nodig is voor het uitvoeren van Anbox (een omgeving voor het draaien van Android-applicaties).\n<li class=\"l\"> Eigen OAUTH-sleutels zijn ingeschakeld voor Google-diensten, waarmee synchronisatie met Google-agenda en contacten mogelijk is. Hierbij Google <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/ubports\/account-plugins\/issues\/40\">de updates blokkeert<\/a><\/noindex> potentieel kwetsbare browsers op oude engines, wat
