In de aanloop naar de lancering van de Intel Comet Lake-S-processors heeft ASUS een aantal succesvolle extreme overklokenthousiasten samengebracht in hun hoofdkantoor, zodat ze konden experimenteren met de nieuwe Intel-processors. After liquid nitrogen, overclockers switched to experiments using an even colder substance \u2014 liquid helium. Its boiling point approaches absolute zero at -269 \u00b0C, whereas nitrogen boils at only -195.8 \u00b0C. It is no surprise that liquid helium allows for much lower temperatures of the cooled chips, but its use is complicated by high cost and rapid evaporation. That is why enthusiasts had to ensure a continuous supply of helium to the copper cup on the processor.<\/p>\n

As a result, the Swedish enthusiast known as elmor managed to reach an impressive frequency of 7707.62 MHz on the Core i9-10900K, while the chip retained the activity of all ten cores and Hyper-Threading technology. It is worth noting that this is a very high benchmark, especially considering that the current overclocking record for the previous Core i9-9900K is 7612.19 MHz, and for the Core i9-9900KS it is only 7478.02 MHz.<\/p>\n
