De distributie is volledig binair compatibel met RHEL 8.2; de wijzigingen in de pakketten zijn meestal beperkt tot rebranding en wijziging van de visuele stijl. <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/mirror.centos.org\/centos\/8\/isos\/\">Bouwsels<\/a><\/noindex> CentOS 2004 <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/centos.org\/download\/\">poorten voorbereid<\/a><\/noindex> (7 GB DVD en 550 MB netboot) voor de architecturen x86_64, Aarch64 (ARM64) en ppc64le. SRPM-pakketten, waarop de binaire bestanden zijn gebaseerd, en debuginfo zijn beschikbaar via <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/vault.centos.org\">vault.centos.org<\/a><\/noindex>. <\/p>\n<p>Naast de nieuwe functies die zijn ge\u00efntroduceerd in  <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=52820\">RHEL 8.2<\/a><\/noindex>, zijn in CentOS 2004 de inhoud van 34 pakketten gewijzigd, waaronder anaconda, dhcp, firefox, grub2, httpd, kernel, PackageKit en yum. De wijzigingen in de pakketten zijn meestal beperkt tot rebranding en wijziging van de visuele stijl.
