NumPy is een van de meest gevraagde bibliotheken die wordt gebruikt voor wetenschappelijke berekeningen. De projectcode is geschreven in Python met optimalisaties in C. <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/numpy\/numpy\/\">wordt verspreid<\/a><\/noindex> onder de BSD-licentie.<\/p>\n<p>In NumPy 1.19 is de ondersteuning voor Python 3.5 be\u00ebindigd en is de code voor compatibiliteit met Python 2 verwijderd (de numpy.compat-laag blijft echter behouden). Ondersteunde versies zijn Python 3.6, 3.7 en 3.8. De ontwikkeling van de module is voortgezet <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/numpy.org\/devdocs\/reference\/random\/index.html\">numpy.random<\/a><\/noindex> voor het werken met willekeurige steekproeven. De ondersteuning voor wheel-pakketten van NumPy op de Aarch64-architectuur en bij het gebruik van de Python-implementatie is verbeterd <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=52089\">PyPy<\/a><\/noindex>. <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/numpy\/numpy\/releases\/tag\/v1.19.0\">Uitgebreid<\/a><\/noindex> functionaliteit van numpy.frompyfunc, np.str_, numpy.copy, numpy.linalg.multi_dot, numpy.count_nonzero en numpy.array_equal. De detectie van CPU-mogelijkheden, zoals ondersteuning voor AVX, is verbeterd.
