In de nieuwe versie zijn ook fouten in de installer en bootloader opgelost. Het gebruik van de gepresenteerde builds heeft alleen zin voor <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/ubuntu.com\/download\/desktop\">nieuwe installaties<\/a><\/noindex>, systemen die eerder zijn ge\u00efnstalleerd, kunnen alle wijzigingen die in Ubuntu 20.04.1 zijn aangebracht, ontvangen via het standaard update-installatiesysteem. Ondersteuning voor de release van updates en het verhelpen van beveiligingsproblemen voor de server- en desktopversies van Ubuntu 20.04 LTS zal duren tot april 2025. <\/p>\n<p>Van de meest <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/wiki.ubuntu.com\/FocalFossa\/ReleaseNotes\">wezenlijke<\/a><\/noindex> <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/wiki.ubuntu.com\/FocalFossa\/ReleaseNotes\/ChangeSummary\/20.04.1\">wijzigingen<\/a><\/noindex> kunnen worden opgemerkt:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Er zijn prestatieoptimalisaties aangebracht. In zfs-linux is ondersteuning voor hardwareversnelling van AES-GCM teruggebracht.\n<li class=\"l\"> In het GNOME-configuratiescherm is een nieuw ontwerp voor de dialoog voor vingerafdrukauthenticatie aangeboden.\n<li class=\"l\"> Ondersteuning voor VPN Wireguard is toegevoegd.\n<li class=\"l\"> De Linux-kernel voor OEM-leveringen is bijgewerkt naar tak 5.6 (in Ubuntu 20.04 wordt 5.4 geleverd).\n<li class=\"l\"> Voor nieuwe HP-laptops is ondersteuning voor een LED-indicator voor het geluidsniveau toegevoegd.\n<li class=\"l\"> <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/bugs.launchpad.net\/ubuntu\/+source\/ubuntu-drivers-common\/+bug\/1881586\">Toegevoegd<\/a><\/noindex> ondersteuning voor <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/bugs.launchpad.net\/ubuntu\/+source\/nvidia-graphics-drivers-440\/+bug\/1881137\">serverserie<\/a><\/noindex> propri\u00ebtaire NVIDIA-stuurprogramma's.\n<li class=\"l\"> In de installer is ondersteuning voor ZFS autotrim toegevoegd. In live-build is ondersteuning voor riscv64 toegevoegd.\n<li class=\"l\"> Versies van de pakketten libreoffice (6.4.4), GNOME (3.36.2), snapd, evince, golang-1.14, curtin, nautilus, gedit, gnome-control-center, evolution-data-server, mutter, gnome-software, shotwell, netplan.io, OpenStack Ussuri,<br \/>\ncloud-init, open-vm-tools, gtk+3.0, ceph, sosreport, libgphoto2 zijn bijgewerkt.\n<\/ul>\n<p>Integratie van de nieuwe versie van de kernel, stuurprogramma's en componenten van de grafische stack wordt verwacht in de voor februari geplande release van Ubuntu 20.04.2,
