De doelgroep van de distributie zijn beginnende gebruikers die gewend zijn om met Windows te werken. Voor het aanpassen van de interface biedt de distributie een speciale configurator waarmee de desktop de uitstraling kan krijgen van verschillende versies van Windows, en er is een selectie programma's inbegrepen die vergelijkbaar zijn met de programma's waar Windows-gebruikers aan gewend zijn. De grootte van de opstartbare <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/sourceforge.net\/projects\/zorin-os\/files\/15\">van het iso-image<\/a><\/noindex> is 2,4 GB (er zijn twee versies beschikbaar \u2014 de reguliere op basis van GNOME en de 'Lite' met Xfce). Het wordt opgemerkt dat de Zorin OS 15 versies sinds juni 2019 meer dan 1,7 miljoen keer zijn gedownload, en 65% van de downloads zijn uitgevoerd door gebruikers van Windows en macOS.<\/p>\n<p>In de nieuwe versie is de overgang naar de Linux-kernel 5.4 gerealiseerd met ondersteuning voor nieuwe hardware. De versies van de gebruikersapplicaties zijn bijgewerkt, waaronder de toevoeging van LibreOffice 6.3.6. Een nieuwe versie van de mobiele applicatie Zorin Connect (op basis van KDE Connect) is inbegrepen voor het koppelen van de desktop met een mobiele telefoon, met ondersteuning voor nieuwe releases van het Android-platform, automatic device discovery is beperkt tot alleen vertrouwde draadloze netwerken, in de meldingen zijn knoppen toegevoegd voor het verzenden van bestanden en het
