De distributie  <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/manjaro.org\/about\/\">is opmerkelijk<\/a><\/noindex> heeft een vereenvoudigd en gebruiksvriendelijk installatieproces, ondersteunt automatische hardwaredetectie en installeert alle benodigde stuurprogramma's. Manjaro <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/manjaro.org\/download\/\">wordt geleverd<\/a><\/noindex>  komt in de vorm van live-builds met grafische omgevingen KDE (2,9 GB), GNOME (2,6 GB) en Xfce (2,6 GB). Met de medewerking van de gemeenschap <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/osdn.net\/projects\/manjaro-community\/storage\/\">aanvullend<\/a><\/noindex> <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/wiki.manjaro.org\/index.php?title=Desktop_Environments_and_Window_Managers\">gebouwen ontwikkeld<\/a><\/noindex> zijn er builds met Budgie, Cinnamon, Deepin, LXDE, LXQt, MATE en i3.<\/p>\n<p>Voor het beheren van repositories in Manjaro wordt een eigen tool BoxIt gebruikt, ontworpen naar het voorbeeld van Git. De repository wordt ondersteund volgens het principe van continue updates (rolling), maar nieuwe versies ondergaan een extra stabilisatiefase. Naast de eigen repository is er ondersteuning voor het gebruik van <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/wiki.archlinux.org\/index.php\/Arch_User_Repository\">de AUR-repository<\/a><\/noindex> (Arch User Repository). De distributie is voorzien van een grafische installer en een grafische interface voor het configureren van het systeem. <\/p>\n<p>In de nieuwe versie is de ontwikkeling van de vlaggenschipgebruikersomgeving op basis van Xfce 4.14 voortgezet, welke wordt geleverd met het thema &#171;Matcha&#187; en uitgebreid is met het mechanisme &#171;Display-Profiles&#187;, waarmee afzonderlijke profielen met scherminstellingen kunnen worden opgeslagen. <\/p>\n<p>In de KDE-gebaseerde editie is er een nieuwe versie van de Plasma 5.19 desktop. Het bevat een volledige set Breath2-thema's, inclusief lichte en donkere versies, een geanimeerde screensaver, profielen voor Konsole en skins voor Yakuake. In plaats van het traditionele applicatiemenu Kickoff-Launcher is het pakket Plasma-Simplemenu aangeboden. KDE-applicaties zijn bijgewerkt naar de augustus-release van KDE-Apps 20.08. <\/p>\n<p>De editie op basis van GNOME wordt nog steeds geleverd met GNOME 3.36. De inlog- en vergrendelingsinterfaces zijn verbeterd, evenals de applicaties voor het beheren van extensies voor GNOME Shell. Een &#171;niet storen&#187;-modus is ge\u00efmplementeerd, die de weergave van meldingen tijdelijk uitschakelt. Standaard wordt zsh als de commando-interpreter aangeboden. De display manager GDM is bijgewerkt en de applicatie voor het wisselen tussen desktopthema's (schakelen tussen Manjaro, Vanilla GNOME, Mate\/GNOME2, Windows, macOS en Unity\/Ubuntu-thema's) is vernieuwd. <\/p>\n<p>Het pakketbeheerprogramma Pamac is bijgewerkt naar versie 9.5, waarin de afhankelijkheidsbepaling is versneld, foutafhandeling is verbeterd en de zoekimplementatie is geoptimaliseerd. Pakketten kunnen nu vanuit AUR worden samengesteld en in \u00e9\u00e9n keer worden ge\u00efnstalleerd. In de console-output Architect is de mogelijkheid tot installatie op partities met ZFS toegevoegd.
