Elbrus Linux is geen herbouw, maar een zelfstandige distributie, ontwikkeld door de ontwikkelaars van de Elbrus-architectuur. Systemen met Elbrus-processoren (Elbrus-16C, Elbrus-12C, Elbrus-2C3, Elbrus-8SV, Elbrus-8C, Elbrus-1C+, Elbrus-1SC en Elbrus-4C), SPARC V9 (R2000, R2000+, R1000) en x86_64 worden ondersteund. Builds voor Elbrus-processoren worden commercieel geleverd, terwijl de editie voor x86_64 <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/mcst.ru\/elbrus_linux_x86\">aangekondigd<\/a><\/noindex> wordt verspreid als vrij en gratis (<noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/yadi.sk\/d\/spqkqOAncT-aKQ\">iso-afbeeldingen<\/a><\/noindex>, met een grootte van 4 en 3 GB).<\/p>\n<p>De compilatie van toepassingen gebeurt met behulp van de propri\u00ebtaire compiler <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/mcst.ru\/lcc\">LCC 1.25<\/a><\/noindex>, compatibel met GCC. In LCC 1.25 is experiment\u00eble ondersteuning voor de C++&#8202;20-standaard beschikbaar en is het compatibiliteitsniveau met GCC verhoogd. Voor ontwikkelaars zijn ook beschikbaar: LLVM 9.0.1, Git 2.28.0, CMake \t3.15.4, Meson \t0.51.1, OpenJDK \t1.8.0, Perl \t5.30.0, PHP \t7.4.7, Python \t3.7.4,<br \/>\nRuby \t2.7.0. Voor containerisolatie wordt LXC 2.0.8 aangeboden, en voor het uitvoeren van x86-programma's op Elbrus-systemen \u2014 een binaire translator. <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/mcst.ru\/rtc\">rtc<\/a><\/noindex>.<\/p>\n<p>De Linux-kernel is bijgewerkt naar versie 5.4. De versies van de grafische stack (X.Org 1.20.7, Mesa 19.3.5, libdrm 2.4.100, PulseAudio 13, Qt 5.12.6) en systeemcomponenten (glibc 2.29, sysvinit 2.88 (systemd wordt niet toegepast)). De desktop is gebaseerd op de grafische omgeving Xfce 4.14. Voor kantoortoepassingen worden LibreOffice 6.3, AbiWord 3.0.2 en Gnumeric 1.12.46 aangeboden. Ook inbegrepen zijn Blender 2.80, GIMP 2.10.18, Inkscape 0.92.4, MPD 0.17.6, Mplayer 1.3.0, OBS Studio 20.1, SMplayer 15.11.0, VLC 3.0.8. <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\"
