De release van 4MLinux 36.0 is gepubliceerd, een minimalistische gebruikersdistributie die geen aftakking is van andere projecten en een grafische interface gebruikt op basis van JWM. 4MLinux kan niet alleen worden gebruikt als een Live-omgeving voor het afspelen van multimedia bestanden en het vervullen van gebruikersbehoeften, maar ook als een systeem voor herstel na storingen en een platform voor het opstarten van LAMP-servers (Linux, Apache, MariaDB en PHP). De grootte van de ISO-image bedraagt 930 MB (i686, x86_64). <\/p>\n

In de nieuwe release is ondersteuning voor het NBD-protocol (Network Block Device) toegevoegd. Het exfatprogs-hulpmiddelenpakket voor het werken met het exFAT-bestandssysteem is toegevoegd en er is ingebouwde ondersteuning voor exFAT in de partitioneer-editor GParted. Het bevat: een schijfversleutelingssysteem VeraCrypt, een programma voor het berekenen van checksums GTkHash en een hulpprogramma voor het aanmaken van LiveUSB UNetbootin. Pakketten met betrekking tot Flash Player zijn uit de repository verwijderd. <\/p>\n
