Het pakket bevat ook standaard Unix-hulpprogramma's, serverapplicaties, compilers, bibliotheken en headerbestanden speciaal gecompileerd voor gebruik op Windows.     <\/p>\n<p>Belangrijkste wijzigingen:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> De ondersteuning voor de pseudoconsole is herzien en wordt nu alleen geactiveerd wanneer applicaties niet uit de cygwin-omgeving worden gestart.\n<li class=\"l\"> Een nieuwe C11 API voor het werken met threads is toegevoegd: call_once, cnd_broadcast, cnd_destroy, cnd_init, cnd_signal, cnd_timedwait, cnd_wait, mtx_destroy, mtx_init, mtx_lock, mtx_timedlock, mtx_trylock, mtx_unlock, thrd_create, thrd_current, thrd_detach, thrd_equal, thrd_exit, thrd_join, thrd_sleep, thrd_yield, tss_create, tss_delete, tss_get, tss_set.\n<li class=\"l\"> In de implementatie van de console is een nieuwe thread toegevoegd voor het verwerken van toetscombinaties zoals Ctrl-Z (VSUSP), Ctrl-\\ (VQUIT), Ctrl-S (VSTOP), Ctrl-Q (VSTART), evenals het signaal SIGWINCH. Voorheen werden deze combinaties en SIGWINCH alleen verwerkt tijdens het aanroepen van de functies read() of select().\n<li class=\"l\"> De fchmodat() functie biedt beperkte ondersteuning voor de AT_SYMLINK_NOFOLLOW vlag.\n<li class=\"l\"> Er is herkenning van AF_UNIX-sockets toegevoegd die door het Windows-platform worden aangeboden.\n<li class=\"l\"> Beperking van het aantal child-processen
