Laura Chambers, now appointed as the CEO of Mozilla Corporation, announced the appointment of developers who will work on implementing the tab grouping feature in Firefox. The addition of tab grouping support has been assigned a high priority.
The decision was made after yet another user tried to draw attention to the fact that Mozilla is spending significant resources on dubious functionalities such as integrating AI tools into the browser while ignoring the truly important tab grouping feature, which has been voted for by around 3000 users and is leading on the feedback site for Firefox development. It is noted that competing browsers like Chrome, Edge, and Vivaldi have long supported tab grouping, providing them with a significant competitive advantage.
