Ureleased distribution of OpenWrt 24.10.5, developed for networking devices such as routers, switches, and access points. OpenWrt supports 2849 devices and offers a build system that simplifies cross-compilation and the creation of custom builds. Such builds allow the formation of ready-made firmware with the desired set of pre-installed packages, optimized for specific tasks. Ready-made builds are published for 39 target platforms.
Key changes in OpenWrt 24.10.5:
- Support for devices ASUS TUF-AX4200Q, Cudy WR3000P v1, ipTIME AX7800M-6E, Konka KOMI A31, Totolink X6000R, and WAVLINK WL-WN536AX6 has been added to the mediatek platform.
- Improved support for SD cards and eMMC storage in the ramips platform, support added for devices Cudy AP1300 Outdoor v1, Cudy C200P, Cudy R700, Cudy RE1200 Outdoor v1, and Hongdian H8850 v20.

- A vulnerability in the Dropbear SSH server has been patched, allowing a local user to elevate their privileges in the system. Options for port redirection have been included.
- The kernel package has been updated to version 6.6.119 (previously 6.6.110).
- The state of the mac80211 subsystem has been synchronized with kernel version 6.12.61.
- The mt76 2025-11-06 and wireless-regdb 2025.10.07 packages have been updated.
