Vulnerability arises from an incorrect implementation of symlink checks before recursively deleting directories. Instead of prohibiting following symlinks, the remove_dir_all() function first checks if the file is a symlink. If a link is detected, it is deleted as a file, and if it is a directory, a recursive delete operation is initiated. The issue is that there is a small delay between the check and the start of the deletion operation. <\/p>\n
