W realizacji protoko\u0142u SCTP, proponowanej w j\u0105drze Linux, zidentyfikowano luk\u0119 (CVE-2026-64564), kt\u00f3ra pozwala lokalnemu u\u017cytkownikowi uzyska\u0107 uprawnienia roota w systemie. W\u015br\u00f3d innych, luka ta umo\u017cliwia uzyskanie dost\u0119pu roota w g\u0142\u00f3wnym systemie przy uruchamianiu exploita w izolowanym kontenerze. Przygotowano prototyp exploita, kt\u00f3rego dzia\u0142anie zosta\u0142o zaprezentowane w dystrybucjach Debian 13, Rocky Linux 9, RHEL 9 oraz Ubuntu 24.04 z j\u0105drami 5.14, 6.6, 6.8 i 6.12. <\/p>\n

Vulnerability is caused by accessing already freed memory in the SCTP (ASCONF) dynamic address reconfiguration code. The kernel caches the pointer to the transport (asconf->transport) specified in the packet, but the memory associated with this pointer may be cleared, while the pointer to the already freed memory continues to be used when processing other commands. The attack is carried out by sending a specific sequence of ASCONF reconfiguration commands to a local socket: first, a DEL-IP packet is sent to remove the transport for a specific IP, followed by a DEL-IP packet specifying the mask 0.0.0.0, the processing of which will lead to the reuse of the dangling pointer. <\/p>\n
