Innymi s\u0142owy, mo\u017cna obliczy\u0107 dwa z g\u00f3ry okre\u015blone prefiksy i je\u015bli jeden do\u0142\u0105czy si\u0119 do jednego dokumentu, a drugi do drugiego \u2014 wynikowe hashe SHA-1 dla tych plik\u00f3w b\u0119d\u0105 identyczne.<\/p>\n<p>Ten rodzaj ataku wci\u0105\u017c wymaga ogromnej mocy obliczeniowej, a dob\u00f3r prefiks\u00f3w pozostaje trudniejszy ni\u017c w przypadku standardowych kolizji, ale praktyczna efektywno\u015b\u0107 wyniku jest znacznie wy\u017csza. Je\u015bli do tej pory najszybsza metoda wyszukiwania prefiks\u00f3w kolizji w SHA-1 wymaga\u0142a wykonania 277,1 operacji, to nowa metoda redukuje liczb\u0119 oblicze\u0144 do zakresu od 266,9 do 269,4. Przy takim poziomie oblicze\u0144 szacunkowy koszt ataku wynosi mniej ni\u017c sto tysi\u0119cy dolar\u00f3w, co jest w zasi\u0119gu s\u0142u\u017cb specjalnych oraz du\u017cych korporacji. Taka mo\u017cliwo\u015b\u0107 pozwala nieuczciwemu centrum certyfikacji stworzy\u0107 certyfikat do podpisu cyfrowego, kt\u00f3ry mo\u017cna wykorzysta\u0107 do autoryzacji fikcyjnych certyfikat\u00f3w dla dowolnych domen. Problem ten mo\u017ce by\u0107 r\u00f3wnie\u017c wykorzystany do kompromitacji protoko\u0142\u00f3w, kt\u00f3re opieraj\u0105 si\u0119 na braku kolizji, takich jak TLS, SSH i IPsec.<\/p>\n<p>Proponowana strategia poszukiwania prefiks\u00f3w dla kolizji zak\u0142ada podzia\u0142 oblicze\u0144 na dwa etapy. W pierwszym etapie wykonywane jest poszukiwanie blok\u00f3w znajduj\u0105cych si\u0119 na granicy kolizji poprzez wstawianie losowych zmiennych \u0142a\u0144cuch\u00f3w do z g\u00f3ry okre\u015blonego celu r\u00f3\u017cnic. W drugim etapie, na poziomie poszczeg\u00f3lnych blok\u00f3w, uzyskane \u0142a\u0144cuchy r\u00f3\u017cnic s\u0105 por\u00f3wnywane z prowadz\u0105cymi do kolizji parami stan\u00f3w, przy u\u017cyciu metod tradycyjnych atak\u00f3w na kolizje. <\/p>\n<p>Mimo \u017ce teoretyczna mo\u017cliwo\u015b\u0107 ataku na SHA-1 zosta\u0142a udowodniona ju\u017c w 2005 roku, a w praktyce pierwsza kolizja zosta\u0142a <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=46091\">znaleziona<\/a><\/noindex> w 2017 roku, SHA-1 nadal pozostaje w u\u017cyciu i jest obj\u0119ty niekt\u00f3rymi standardami i technologiami (TLS 1.2, Git itd.).
