AMD SEV na poziomie sprz\u0119towym zapewnia przezroczyste szyfrowanie pami\u0119ci maszyn wirtualnych, w kt\u00f3rym dost\u0119p do odszyfrowanych danych ma tylko obecny system go\u015bcinny, a pozosta\u0142e maszyny wirtualne i hipernadzorca przy pr\u00f3bie dost\u0119pu do tej pami\u0119ci otrzymuj\u0105 zaszyfrowany zestaw danych.<\/p>\n<p>Wykryty problem umo\u017cliwia ca\u0142kowite przywr\u00f3cenie zawarto\u015bci zamkni\u0119tego klucza PDH, kt\u00f3ry jest przetwarzany na poziomie oddzielnego chronionego procesora PSP (AMD Security Processor), niedost\u0119pnego dla g\u0142\u00f3wnego systemu operacyjnego.<br \/>\nMaj\u0105c klucz PDH, atakuj\u0105cy mo\u017ce nast\u0119pnie odtworzy\u0107 klucz sesyjny i tajn\u0105 sekwencj\u0119 zdefiniowan\u0105 podczas tworzenia maszyny wirtualnej oraz uzyska\u0107 dost\u0119p do zaszyfrowanych danych. <\/p>\n<p>Wra\u017cliwo\u015b\u0107 wynika z niedoci\u0105gni\u0119\u0107 w implementacji krzywych eliptycznych (ECC) stosowanych do szyfrowania, kt\u00f3re umo\u017cliwiaj\u0105 przeprowadzenie <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/web-in-security.blogspot.com\/2015\/09\/practical-invalid-curve-attacks.html\">ataku<\/a><\/noindex> na odzyskanie parametr\u00f3w krzywej. W rzeczywisto\u015bci wykonywana jest operacja mno\u017cenia dw\u00f3ch punkt\u00f3w, z kt\u00f3rych jeden odpowiada kluczowi prywatnemu. Je\u015bli drugi punkt odnosi si\u0119 do ma\u0142ych liczb pierwszych, atakuj\u0105cy mo\u017ce okre\u015bli\u0107 parametry pierwszego punktu (bity modu\u0142u u\u017cywanego w operacji pot\u0119gowania modulo) poprzez przeszukiwanie wszystkich mo\u017cliwych warto\u015bci. Firma AMD ju\u017c  <noindex>opublikowa\u0142a<\/noindex> aktualizacja oprogramowania, kt\u00f3ra wprowadza blokad\u0119 u\u017cycia punkt\u00f3w niespe\u0142niaj\u0105cych krzywej NIST. W zwi\u0105zku z tym wcze\u015bniej wygenerowane certyfikaty dla kluczy PDH pozostaj\u0105 wa\u017cne, co pozwala napastnikowi przeprowadzi\u0107 atak migracji maszyn wirtualnych z \u015brodowisk chronionych przed podatno\u015bci\u0105 do \u015brodowisk nara\u017conych na problem.
