A empresa Avast publicou os resultados de uma pesquisa sobre a comprometimento do servidor do centro de certifica\u00e7\u00e3o mongol MonPass, que resultou na inser\u00e7\u00e3o de um backdoor no aplicativo oferecido para instala\u00e7\u00e3o aos clientes. A an\u00e1lise revelou que a infraestrutura foi comprometida atrav\u00e9s da invas\u00e3o de um dos servidores web p\u00fablicos do MonPass, que operava na plataforma Windows. No servidor indicado, foram encontrados rastros de oito diferentes invas\u00f5es, resultando na instala\u00e7\u00e3o de oito webshells e backdoors para acesso remoto. <\/p>\n
Altera\u00e7\u00f5es maliciosas tamb\u00e9m foram feitas no software cliente oficial, que foi fornecido com o backdoor de 8 de fevereiro a 3 de mar\u00e7o. A hist\u00f3ria come\u00e7ou quando, em resposta a uma reclama\u00e7\u00e3o de um cliente, a empresa Avast confirmou a presen\u00e7a de altera\u00e7\u00f5es maliciosas no instalador distribu\u00eddo atrav\u00e9s do site oficial do MonPass.
