A empresa Google anunciou a decis\u00e3o de adicionar no Chrome 94 o modo HTTPS-First, que \u00e9 semelhante ao modo HTTPS Only que apareceu anteriormente no Firefox 83. Ao tentar abrir um recurso sem criptografia via HTTP, o navegador inicialmente tentar\u00e1 acessar o site via HTTPS e, se a tentativa falhar, o usu\u00e1rio ver\u00e1 um aviso sobre a falta de suporte a HTTPS, al\u00e9m de uma sugest\u00e3o para abrir o site sem criptografia. Para conex\u00f5es estabelecidas sem criptografia, o indicador «n\u00e3o seguro» continuar\u00e1 a ser exibido.
