Linus Torvalds aceitou no reposit\u00f3rio, onde est\u00e1 sendo formada a futura ramifica\u00e7\u00e3o do n\u00facleo Linux 5.15, patches com a implementa\u00e7\u00e3o do sistema de arquivos NTFS da Paragon Software. O lan\u00e7amento do n\u00facleo 5.15 est\u00e1 previsto para novembro. O c\u00f3digo do novo driver NTFS foi liberado pela Paragon Software em agosto do ano passado e se diferencia do driver j\u00e1 existente no n\u00facleo pela capacidade de operar em modo de grava\u00e7\u00e3o. O driver antigo n\u00e3o \u00e9 atualizado h\u00e1 muitos anos e se encontra em estado prec\u00e1rio. <\/p>\n

O novo driver suporta todas as funcionalidades da vers\u00e3o atual do NTFS 3.1, incluindo atributos de arquivos expandidos, listas de acesso (ACL), modo de compress\u00e3o de dados, trabalho eficiente com espa\u00e7os vazios em arquivos (sparse) e reprodu\u00e7\u00e3o de altera\u00e7\u00f5es a partir do log para a restaura\u00e7\u00e3o da integridade ap\u00f3s falhas. A Paragon Software confirmou que est\u00e1 disposta a manter o c\u00f3digo proposto no n\u00facleo e planeja, no futuro, transferir a implementa\u00e7\u00e3o do log para operar sobre o dispositivo de bloco universal JBD (Journaling block device) existente no n\u00facleo, sobre o qual \u00e9 organizado o log no ext3, ext4 e OCFS2.
